About us

At the core of our efforts, Memories Foundation is on a quest to fight against human trafficking. Many children, in particular children who are in the welfare system, are at an increased risk of becoming victims of human trafficking. One of the many ways that traffickers lure children is by building a rapport. Memories Foundation seeks to show foster youth that they are loved and valued before they are at the risk of being in the hands of a trafficker. We make sure that foster youth will have a safe space to receive genuine relationships and life long memories

Meet Our Founder!

Briana Thezard

Briana Thezard is the founder of Memories Foundation. Growing up, Thezard’s most precious memories were the birthday and milestone celebrations planned by her family. These memories made her feel loved and supported. With the overflow of love, Thezard has fueled that into activism. Living in Prince George’s County for over 20 years she began her quest of fighting against human trafficking while in college. In 2016, Thezard conducted extensive research on human trafficking, gave tech talks providing solutions to combat sex trafficking, and gave presentations to students at her university, Mount St. Mary’s University. Through all of Thezard’s research she learned that many victims of human trafficking experienced living in the child welfare system. This aha has compelled Thezard to focus on providing resources to foster youth as it pertains to fighting against human trafficking. Thezard will continue to spread light and awareness on both foster youth and human trafficking in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
